A Peek Inside (Finally!)

Okay fam, you've asked for it for months, and I waited to post these pictures of our "new" (now 8 months old) house until we finished painting all the rooms and we finally finished last weekend! Not too shabby since we've painted the basement twice (the first time was planned, the second time wasn't thanks to the flooding), and every room and wall on the first and second floors. We only have two bedrooms left to paint upstairs but other than that we've painted our entire house which consists of three floors, and 12 rooms in eight months. Why all the painting you ask? Because believe it or not the walls had never been painted since the house was built 13 years ago.. eek! Yes, gross was my first thought too, but not anymore.

You've already seen the outside:
Here's the entry way (or lack thereof!):

Here's the living room:
You can see the front doors and entry way (or lack thereof!) in this pic too.

Here's the study: we still have to put up chair molding on the walls.

Here's the kitchen:Here's the dining room/eat-in kitchen. The bay window looks out to the swingset, deck and grove of trees in our backyard. The view is so pretty and I love not having neighbors behind us.
Here's the family room and I must give a disclaimer: the walls are not the shade of yellow that always shows up in pictures. The camera makes it look much brighter than it really is for some reason. The true color of the walls is like a dijon mustard color, kind of a burnt yellow if that makes any sense. It's the "in" color right now and the hubby picked it believe it or not! He did a pretty good job.

The door to the right is a second pantry, I thought it was weird at first but it's become the game closet and craft closet and I LOVE it!

That door is the garage door and across from it is a coat closet.

Here's the basement which was spotless before I ran upstairs to grab the camera to take pictures. That's the reason why I don't bother cleaning this room up very often. And thanks to the flood we were able to get really nice carpet throughout the basement. There is also an unfinished part of the basement on the other side of the stairs where the laundry room and storage room is.

We're working on getting couches to complete the second family room down there.

Here's the guest room/exercise room:

And that's our humble abode!

I'm impressed--you've lived here more than a year less than I have and you have me beat. I blame high ceilings... We're getting there though. I guess our walls aren't 13 years gross though. Just 2 years and it's our gross.
