Mother's Day
I always love the first week in May because it starts off with my birthday then Mother's Day just days later... could it get any better? I get spoiled twice in the same week. Cam and the girls outdid themselves for Mother's Day this year, buying me everything I wanted/needed on my list included new pans and a couple serving platters. Yes it's true, the older you get you realize you'd rather have practical things than fun things, but I'm so glad I got what I've needed for a long time. If I had to soak my old frying pan for 24 hours after using it one more time, I was going to scream. So hello non-stick frying pan! The kids also surprised me with a cute shirt that said, "Mom's do the hard work, Dad's do the yard work" which has become one of my favorite most comfortable t-shirts, which is a plus because it fits my growing belly too :) I also received flowers and breakfast in bed and a yummy dinner. I def. feel like the worlds best Mom!
Happy Mother's Day to my Mom, Grandma Drake and Mother-in-law!
Jessy's Dance Recital
Hallie's friend, Jessy (recap: in case you don't know the connection, we know Jessy and her family from when we lived in Ohio 3 1/2 years ago and have kept in touch since!) invited her to her ballet recital since we live so close now. So I let Hallie pick out some pretty flowers to give to her after the recital. The girls were a little shy at first but reunited quickly and by the end, there was no separating them.

Moving Day and Ohio Caverns
After our things left for storage, we packed up the car and drove to Ohio. On our way, Cam thought it would be fun to take a small detour and tour some of Ohio's caverns along the way which are 103 feet below the ground!
Look what Syd found!
