Video: Feeding the Ducks

I took Hallie to the pond across the street from us to feed the ducks and she thought it was the coolest thing ever! She kept doing this fake laugh (which you'll see in the video) because she was just so excited. It was so crazy how close the ducks got to us. After a couple times of throwing bread to the ducks, we noticed that the bread would disappear into the water before the ducks could get to the bread and I finally realized that these big fish were eating the bread as well. At one point, a fish actually jumped out of the water to get the bread before the ducks did!! Of course that happened after I stopped recording!

It's the best when Hallie appreciates the little things in life... it makes my day when I give her something to tell Daddy about over and over again when he gets home! That means I did something right as a mom that day!! Enjoy the movie and the pics below!

Duck Crossing

There is a little pond across the street from our house and we discovered ducks swimming in it a couple of weeks ago so I took the girls over there the other day with some bread to feed the ducks. Hallie was just beside herself because the ducks rushed after each piece of bread that she would throw to them! And after throwing a piece of bread, she would do this fake hysterical laugh because she was so excited. She kept saying,"Ducks are really hungry mama!" Hallie had a lot of fun until one of the baby ducks came right up to her and tried to eat the bread right out of her hand... she obviously wasn't throwing it fast enough!

Three Months on Earth and Life is Good

Sydnee is three months old now! Wow, has time flown by! Sydnee has kept the past three months quite eventful with a trip to the ER, a couple illnesses, and a heart murmur... just to name a few! Sydnee (and her parents who were a nervous wreck!) are doing just fine and Sydnee is a normal and healthy baby again! (No more heart murmur or sicknesses!) Sydnee learned to roll over last week, and she loves to smile at everyone. All in all... life is pretty sweet with her in it.

Dirty Diapers: A Foreign Object For Some...

Cam always finds the funniest videos on the internet and I just had to share this one. I'm sure all you dads can relate!

Craft Time!

Hallie LOVES doing crafts, so I'm always on the lookout for cheap crafts that she and I can do every week. I found this foamie princess crown at the craft store for a buck and then I let Hallie pick out some fun decorations for her crown. She had a lot of fun decorating it and now she wears it when she dresses up in her dress-up clothes. What a pretty princess!

Tag, I'm It!

Okay, I thought this was silly at first, but now that I've been tagged, it's actually been kind of fun thinking of things that are unique about me so here we go... here's more than you probably ever wanted to know about me, but thanks Kristen (Pali) for tagging me!

Six random facts about me:
  1. Donny Osmond drove me home from church one Sunday. He was in Detroit doing the "Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat" play and he came to our ward for church because his kids' previous nanny lived in our ward at the time. He happened to know my friend's family pretty well too, and she invited me over for dinner (Donny was also invited) so Donny took us home to her house and he was even picking on me for how gullible I was!?
  2. When Cam and I got married, I owned over 60 pairs of shoes... I now own only 24 of them... (no) thanks to Cam! ha ha.
  3. I have a fear of swallowing pills, so I have to crush every pill I take.
  4. I didn't have an epidural during the labor/birth of our girls.
  5. I am overly organized and a clean freak (I'm probably a little overly compulsive about it). I love organizing and reorganizing things and I find cleaning fun!?
  6. I am a "Twilight" reader, and I have a secret crush on Edward... who doesn't!?!
I tag Nicole Voge, Sarah Jackson and Megan Ostler. Now it's your turn to post random facts that make you tick!

Laughing Up a Storm

Hallie always asks me to "take a picture mommy!" anytime she does anything. Here's the result of us laughing so hard from being silly and trying to be quiet so we don't wake Sydnee at the same time.

Miles of Smiles

Some more pics of Voge's... it was such a fun week, we never wanted it to end. Thanks for visiting Fort Wayne!

Above: Hallie was in heaven when all of her aunt's and uncles took her to the park.

Above: You have to understand something about the Voge's: they are very laid back people. So now you understand why Jon flew to Indiana for a baby blessing and forgot church clothes, lol. Luckily, Cam and Jon are roughly the same size, so thanks to Cam, he saved the day...although, it looks like Jon is saving the world as he busts out of his clothes and into his... SUPERMAN SUIT!?!?!?

Above: We went to a nearby beach (more like a big pond of water and dirt) and the boys got a little carried away with the mud and fish guts at the bottom of the lake. Now you know what lurks below the water when you go swimming!

Above: Cam loves playing disc golf at a course near our house so he introduced his siblings to the fun game.

Happy Anniversary Cam!

Four years ago today, Cameron and I got married for time and all eternity! Marrying Cameron was the best decision I ever made. He is the better half of me and makes me want to be a better wife every day.

Cam, there are too many reasons why I love you, but here a few to start:
~I love that you make me laugh (sometimes at my expense! but that's okay),
~I love that you are patient with me and with the girls when sometimes I'm not,
~I love that you have taken care of me and the girls financially and lovingly and have given us a great life where we can live comfortably and happily,
~I love that you are strong in the gospel,
~I love that you play with my hair which is your way of telling me you love me,
~I love that you love to play with Hallie and spend time with her
~I love that you are the best dad I could ask for for my girls
~I love that our marriage is better today than it was four years ago
~I love that you appreciate what I do for you
~I love that you worry about my happiness
~I love that you listen when I need you most, even if it's in the middle of night
~I love that you surprise me flowers and Blizzards and chocolate sometimes just because
~I love that your silly enough to play jokes like blowing up empty Capri Sun juice boxes and putting them back in the box for me to find them later
~I love that you get embarrassed when I bring balloons to you at work but are still happy to see me
~I just love that you are the best decision I ever made
~I love that all my memories from here to forever will have you in them

I love you Cam, Happy Anniversary!!

The Best Aunt's in the World

Below: Hallie had fun blowing bubbles with Aunt Nicole.

Below: Hallie loves to talk about her aunts and looks up to them more than they know. Hallie still talks about when she slept in Stacey's room "for hours" (that's what she says) with Stacey two weeks ago... that must have ranked high on her "fun" list. Here's Hallie having fun with Aunt Stacey and Aunt Kath.

The Voge's Strike a Pose

We've been having a blast with Cam's family being here. Thank goodness Nicole is in the family or we would probably never get around to taking family portraits! Even though they aren't the most formal pictures, that's what makes it fun! It wouldn't be a Voge family picture without everyone doing something funny.

Sydnee's Blessing Day

This past weekend was such a special one in our family because we blessed Sydnee yesterday; and not only that, but all of the Drake's (except Ryan who's on his mission) and the Voge's (except Sandy who was missed) were able to make the trip to Fort Wayne to meet Sydnee and be here for her baby blessing.

Our family traveled from Texas, Utah and Michigan to be here. What a special (and emotional) day it was! After Sydnee's blessing, we went home for some yummy food (thanks for your hard work mom!) and some tournament's in Shrek Party and Cornhole. We feel so blessed to have Sydnee in our family and can't imagine life without her. I'm so proud of Cam for being so worthy and happy to give Sydnee her baby blessing. It was a memorable day!

Below: Sydnee is wearing the same blessing dress that Hallie and I wore on our blessing day! Aunt Nicole gave her the pretty bracelet she is wearing and Grandma Voge sent her the beautiful blanket she is laying on. Isn't she a doll?
