Spring Break

For Spring Break, the girls and I took a road trip to Jackson, MI to pick up a very important package... my sister Stacey for a couple days!

It was her spring break too, so we decided to meet halfway between our house and my parents house and take her home with us. The girls were so excited to have her with us, Hallie even cleaned her room all by herself! I guess I was a little excited too, since Stacey's visit made me finally finish painting our study. We knew what we wanted to do with this room since we moved in, it has just been put on the back burner until now, so thanks Stace for lighting a fire under me to get it done. And yes we replaced that gold chandelier.

The first night with Stacey, Hallie stayed up with us and we had a makeover party using Mary Kay's Satin Lips and Satin Hands products. Here's Stace soaking her hands before revealing the softest hands ever...
The next day, we went to our science museum. Syd had fun playing with Aunt Stacey, getting her wet by wiping her wet hands from the water table all over Stacey's pants. At least Stacey was a good sport about it!
Stacey and I rented lots of movies, ate lots of ice cream and stayed up way too late talking every night, but it was so fun! I'm glad Stacey doesn't think of me as the boring sister with kids yet and that she wanted to come visit, it was such nice company.

At the end of the week, my parents came to our house for the weekend to pick Stacey up and as soon as Grandma and Grandpa got here, the girls' excitement of having Stacey here shifted to G&G being here. Grandpa helped me mow our lawn on Saturday since Cam was in Chicago for the day for his good friend, Carson Nuttall's wedding reception. Then Grandpa fit in some much needed tickle time with the girls. Grandpa's tickles are always the best especially with his squealing high-pitched laugh while he tickles them, which makes them laugh even harder.

The girls were exhausted after the week was over, but it was such a fun Spring Break! Thank you Stace for visiting us!
