Easter Morning

Easter: another holiday with a mythical creature behind it all... could we pull it off or have another disaster like Santa Claus with Hallie believing? I'm happy to say we did pull it off, although Hallie is convinced that it was a person inside the Easter Bunny costume at the mall last week, sheesh! She's just too smart for her own good. The day before Easter we dyed Easter eggs for the bunny to hide which the girls (and Daddy since he quite studying so he could dye eggs too!) had fun with.

Daddy told Hallie on Easter morning that he had heard some hopping around downstairs, and low and behold... the Easter Bunny came! He filled Syd's and Hallie's baskets and hid our eggs that we dyed the day before.

On the Easter egg hunt, Sydnee got the concept quickly and had so much fun finding them. She kept asking, "Where are you?" to the eggs. Then we'd ask her, "Are you having fun Syd?" And she'd give an enthusiastic, "YA!!!" The girls had to find the plastic eggs inside the house first before going outside to find the real eggs we had dyed. As soon as Sydnee realized that the plastic eggs were filled with candy, she ate the candy first before finding another and was a little disappointed that the eggs we dyed weren't filled with anything fun like candy. Haha.
