Visiting the Easter Bunny

We visited the Easter Bunny today at the mall, and Hallie liked sitting on his lap, but Sydnee... well, you know what her reaction was: she liked him until I put her on his lap! I cheated and gave the girls their cute flower headbands early (they were supposed be for Easter) but they matched their outfits perfectly! After visiting the Easter Bunny, I took the girls to lunch at the mall and rode the carousel, it was a fun way to get the girls out of the house so Cam could study.

Bored With Dinner?

Sydnee decided last night she was bored with eating dinner the traditional way, so why not mix things up? Fork in mouth, and.... waalaa, a new way to eat. After a while she decided it took too much effort to scoop up the food and then put the fork in her mouth, so she scooped up the food then took the food off her fork with her fingers and ate it. Whatever works, as long as she's eating right!?

Yes, we had pancakes for dinner... it was a long day, need I say more!?

Sisterly Love

Not one of us has been sick all winter, so I guess we had this coming... Syd has been so sick lately with ear infection after ear infection, fevers and colds. It's been a long couple of weeks, especially since I had to do most of it by myself since Cam had been out of town for most of Syd's sicknesses. But through it all, Hallie was so helpful and so loving to Sydnee when I just needed to get things done. Hallie held her and loved her while I cleaned up and made dinner, it was so sweet.

Discovery of Toiletpaper: Proceed with CAUTION!

I should warn you to proceed with caution: the cutest naked baby is about to show herself in the next few pictures, but they were just too cute not to share, so I apologize in advance to Sydnee's future friends, boyfriends and husband... ENJOY!

Sydnee told Hallie she wanted to sit on the potty, so Hallie wanted to take her by herself. A few minutes later, I heard giggling...from BOTH girls (never a good sign when BOTH are laughing!) so I grabbed the camera and found Sydnee's new discovery: toilet paper. Yes, this is something I haven't introduced to her quite yet for this very reason...

Uh-oh, I'm caught!? I'm in big trouble now...

Oh good, Mom has the camera, so she isn't that mad. Let's keep playing in the toilet paper!

Preschool: Letter "K" Week

A couple weeks ago, I taught the letter "K" at preschool where we learned about "Kangaroos" and how they hop, hence the reason why the kids are hopping around in pillowcases like kangaroos.

On Wednesday, we had a "Kids in the Kitchen" day, where we explored the different things we can find in a kitchen, they helped bake our snack for the day and then I taught them how to properly set the table using placemats they made. It was a fun week, tiring as usual, but it's kind of bitter-sweet to think that I only get to teach one more time before the school year is over already! It's been such a great experience and I've had fun doing it, I definitely will do it again for Sydnee when she is older.

Adorabella's Bowtique

I thought I'd put a plug in for my friend, Ali's new 'bow'tique business inspired by her daughter Bella, hence the cute name: Adorabella's Bowtique. She will be adding a Paypal button on her website soon, so if you're interested, leave her a comment on her blog: http://www.adorabellasbowtique.blogspot.com/

I thought these would be cute Easter basket fillers for my girls!

Mad Ants Basketball Game

We went with our friends, the Routsongs, to a Mad Ants basketball game last night. It was so fun and our seats were so close! The girls got a little wiggly, but they had fun being there and cheering the Mad Ants on to victory with their slappers and pom poms. During half time, we got to see a Guiness Book World Record holder throw bowls on top of her head with her foot while riding a unicycle, it was quite amazing. And at the end of half time, Hallie, Jaxton and Cooper, got to line up and slap the players hands as they ran onto the court. Hallie thought that was pretty cool. Thanks Tara for inviting us!
