Our "Little Kicker"

Hallie started soccer last week!! I can't believe she's old enough to be doing little sports league's! Her team is called "Little Kicker's" and her coaches are great with the kids.

They play fun games to get them to kick the ball as they run and they use great soccer/kid lingo to get them to stop the ball by putting their foot on top of the ball when they say, "Squish the bug!"
It was so dang cute to watch their first practice last week. Cam and I were giggling the whole time because they were just so dang cute when they'd stop running just to turn and wave to their parents. Then the dads got to go out and practice passing the ball to their child at one point which is what Hallie and Daddy are doing in the picture below. At the end of soccer, they let each of the kids line up to score a goal and most of the kids weren't kicking the ball hard enough to get it into the net, but Hallie did!!! I have finally found the best toys for my girls while I cook dinner to occupy them for more than 20 minutes: bowls and spoons!? And the best part about it, they're free! What is it with kids having the most fun playing with office supplies, kitchen cookware, and paper!? Whatever the object is, I'm just glad it buys me a little extra time to put finishing touches on dinner before one or both of them melts down. Hooray!
